La superbe brune Mai Lin est née le 22 juin 1953 à Oakland, en Californie. Les deux parents de Mai étaient d'origine chinoise : sa mère venait de Chine tandis que son père était né en Californie de parents chinois. Lin a également un frère. Mia a commencé sa carrière dans le porno en tournant des boucles après que son mari Dean l'ait mise en contact avec des personnes qu'il connaissait dans l'industrie. Mai a fait le grand saut vers les films hardcore au milieu des années 1970 et a continué à travailler sans relâche jusqu'à sa retraite du porno au début des années 1990. De plus, Lin était également membre du club échangiste Circle S dans la région de la baie de Californie. Mai a été intronisée au AVN Hall of Fame en 2005 et au XRCO Hall of Fame en 2007.
