Le docteur Johannes est sauvagement assassiné dans le train fantôme d'une fête foraine. Sa compagnie d'assurance envoie un inspecteur, Chris pour enquêter parallèlement à la police. Il fait la connaissance de la famille du docteur dans le manoir familial où vivent ceux qui auraient pu avoir un mobile. Mais un tueur va frapper dans le manoir...
