Victor et Machito étaient les meilleurs amis de leur enfance et étaient très impliqués dans la scène underground de la salsa. Séparés à l'adolescence après la mort de son père, Victor quitte New York, mais sa passion pour la danse et la musique ne l'a jamais quitté. De retour dans le quartier où il a grandi des années plus tard, il cherche son ami d'enfance Machito, dont il découvre qu'il a suivi les traces fatales de son père.
