La famille Hamilton s’installe en Angleterre sous une nouvelle identité, les “Thompson”. Mais très rapidement ils vont essayer de fuir la police à la suite à une boucherie dans laquelle sont morts plusieurs individus. Ils croient avoir trouvé une solution lorsqu’ils croisent la famille Stuart qui propose de leur porter de l'aide à se cacher.
