Suite à un accident dans l’espace, l’astronaute Mikail Matthews se retrouve lié à une mystérieuse anomalie... plusieurs versions de lui-même apparaissent pour le remplacer à chaque fois qu’il s’endort. Pendant ce temps, l'un deux, Mikaïl Cornfield, détective privé du Far West, embauche une stagiaire, une jeune fille de 15 ans qui s’appelle Daphny.
