Un beau jour, Jay et Silent Bob, deux glandeurs patentés du New Jersey, apprennent que leur ami Banky les a trahis. Bluntman et Chronicle, les héros de bande dessinée qu'ils ont inspirée, vont devenir des stars : les studios Miramax sont sur le point de tourner une adaptation cinématographique de leurs aventures.
