Le film nous invite à découvrir le regard singulier qu’une femme, Marie de Magdala, pose sur la personne de Jésus. Il montre comment Jésus, à travers sa personne, son message et son action, valorise les femmes et leur rend leur dignité. Au-delà de leurs différences culturelles, toutes les femmes du monde ont en commun des besoins, des préoccupations, des craintes et des espoirs, ainsi que la triste réalité dont beaucoup d’entre elles ont souffert, de ne pas être considérées à leur juste valeur simplement parce qu’elles sont des femmes.
