Elaine souhaite par dessus tout déménager un jour, quitter leur banlieue où le crime fait rage pour s'installer dans un pavillon tranquille avec sa fille Justine. Elle trouve son bonheur en s'installant dans un coquette petite maison, entourée de voisins très prévenants... voire même un peu trop envahissants. Un psychologue du nom de Lawrence, est à l'origine de la communauté qu'Elanie et Justine viennent de rejoindre en habitant le quartier...
