Dubrovnik 1993, un an après le siège de la ville par les troupes serbes. Linda, 14 ans, est rentrée avec son père de Suisse en Croatie. Sa nouvelle amie, Eta, l'emmène dans une forêt défendue sur les hauteurs de la ville. Les deux filles se laissent entraîner dans un jeu d'échange d'identités obsessif et chargé de sous-entendus sexuels qui s'achève par la chute mortelle d'Eta. Le lendemain, Linda revient seule.
