C'est l'avant-veille de Noël. Oliver et sa petite soeur June répètent la pièce que leur maman a montée. Cependant l'esprit n'est pas à la fête, leurs parents sont en train de se séparer car ils ne s'entendent plus. Leur père Rémy ne pense qu'à son travail, il est devenu irascible, a perdu tout sens de l'humour et déteste la fête de Noël.
