Ned Kelly est un Robin des Bois des temps modernes. Il dévalise les banques et les distributeurs de billets pour redistribuer l'argent aux plus pauvres. Mais cette générosité n'est pas du goût de tous et spécialement pas de sir John, le directeur de l'International Trust Bank. Celui-ci se venge en l'expropriant de l'île où il a élu domicile avec sa bande. Ned Kelly a désormais besoin d'un million de dollars pour racheter ladite île. Avec sa Harley Davidson, sa bible et son pistolet, il part à la conquête d'Hollywood où il devient rapidement une vedette de cinéma...
