Un projectionniste de cinéma est entraîné dans une aventure bien réelle celle-ci. Alors qu'il était sur le point de se marier, il est impliqué dans un hold-up, va en prison, et, à la suite d'une évasion manquée, il est bien malgré lui considéré comme un héros vis à vis de ses compagnons de cellule.
