Comme nombre de parents, Mara et Scott doivent jongler entre leurs vies professionnelles, leurs deux filles et les tâches domestiques. Ils se retrouvent régulièrement submergés malgré l'aide de Rachel, leur jeune et jolie nourrice, adorée par toute la famille.
