Renato, un dirigeant prospère de l'aviation mexicaine, est choqué de découvrir qu'il a un demi-frère américain, Asher, dont il n'a jamais entendu parler. Les deux demi-frères, très différents, sont obligés de faire un road trip ensemble, organisé par leur père, malade, retraçant le chemin qu'il a pris en tant qu'immigrant, du Mexique vers l'Amérique.
